PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a water treatment apparatus providing a large water flow volume and having high reliability. SOLUTION : The water treatment apparatus includes a main body 2, a nozzle 2a, and electric discharge parts each comprising a high-voltage electrode 3 and earth electrodes 4. Water to be treated 1 is fed from the nozzle side under a constant pressure to generate minute cavitation bubbles and form a discharge plasma therein to decompose materials to be treated such as organic matter and so on in the water to be treated, or to perform other treatments such as synthesis and the like. The electric discharge part is constituted by an electrode set comprising the high-voltage electrode and the earth electrodes arranged parallel to and equally spaced from the high-voltage electrode. At least three electrode sets 8 projected from the inner wall toward the central part of the main body are circumferentially disposed. The R phase, S phase and T phase of a three-phase high-voltage power supply are connected to the respective high-voltage electrodes of the electrode sets. COPYRIGHT : (C)2009, JPO&INPIT
