An object of the present disclosure to manufacture an anode mixture capable of increasing the charging/discharging capacity of a sulfur battery. In the anode mixture used in the sulfur battery and the manufacturing method thereof of the present disclosure, the object is achieved by providing an anode mixture and a manufacturing method thereof characterized by subjecting a raw material mixture, which comprises Li_2S and M_xS_y (M is selected from P, Si, Ge, B, Al, or Sn, x and y are integers which give electrical neutrality to S depending on the type of M), an anode active material containing single sulfur, and a conductive auxiliary agent containing a carbon material, to a mechanical milling process.(AA) Mechanical milling(BB) Anode mixture of Example 1COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
