PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a DC motor with a brush which increases an air-gap magnetic-flux density (main magnetic-flux quantity) and is excellent in motor efficiency by using a furthermore high-performance permanent magnet. SOLUTION : The DC motor includes a permanent magnet 1 inside a field yoke 2 constituting a casing, an armature 5 mounted on a rotatable rotating shaft 4 through a gap 3 in the permanent magnet 1, a commutator for controlling a current to the armature 5, and the brush 7.
