PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for treating sludge easily and safely at a low cost.SOLUTION : In the method of treating sludge 10 accumulating on the water bottom, a division (a) having a predetermined area is formed on the submerged water bottom, and after pulling out water W from the division (a), 1-20 kg of a polymer absorbent 4 is added to 1 m3 of the sludge 10 accumulating on the water bottom and then 0.1-2 m3 of earth and sand 5 are added to and mixed with 1 m3 of the treated sludge obtained by the addition of the polymer absorbent 4, and the mixture is improved into treated soil 11, which is removed from the water bottom. In the method of treating sludge 10 accumulating on the water bottom, 10-100 kg of a hardening agent 6 is further added to and mixed with 1 m3 of the treated soil 11 without removing the treated soil 11 from the water bottom, and the mixture is leveled and then cured and hardened.COPYRIGHT : (C)2009, JPO&INPIT
