PURPOSE : A plasma display panel is provided to maintain a predetermined level of light emitting efficiency and luminance even if heat treatment is performed under vacuum for a gas filling and sealing process, and to prevent a drop in the service life.
CONSTITUTION : A plasma display panel comprises : a first substrate(1) and a second substrate(11) disposed in parallel with each other while being spaced apart from each other by a predetermined distance; a plurality of address electrodes(3) formed on the first substrate; a first dielectric layer(5) formed on the front surface of the first substrate while covering the address electrodes; a plurality of barrier ribs(7) disposed at a predetermined height from the first dielectric layer and forming a discharge space; red, blue and green phosphor layers(9) formed in the discharge space; a plurality of display electrodes(13) disposed on the surface of the second substrate opposite to the first substrate along the direction crossing the address electrodes; a second dielectric layer(15) formed on the front surface of the second substrate while covering the display electrodes; and a protection film(17) disposed on the second dielectric layer. In the plasma display panel, the first substrate and the second substrate are sealed under vacuum, and the green phosphor layer comprises a mixed phosphor containing ReBO3 : Tb (wherein Re is at least one rare earth metal element selected from Sc, Y, La, Ce and Gd) and (Ba, Sr, Mg)Oα·βAl2O3 : Mn (wherein α ranges from 1 to 2, and β is an integer of 1-23).
