(57) Abstract : The invention relates to a device for processing preferably thermoplastic synthetic material t-or the purpose of re cycling. Said device comprises a container (1) in which at least one revolving mixing and/or size-reduction tool (14) is arranged. The material so treated is supplied to a discharge opening (17) arranged at the bottom of the container (1), which opening fluidically communicates with the charge opening (18) of a housing (19). Der Durchrnesser (D) des Beh ilters (1) steht zum Durchmesser (d) jeder der Schnecken (21, 22) in der Beziehung D = 10 3 d2K, worin Dder Innendurchmesser des kreiszylindrischen Beh ilters (1) ist oder der Innendurchmesser eines auf gleiches Fassungsvolumen umgerechneten fiktiven kreiszylindrischen Beh ilters gleicher wirksamer H6he, dder Schneckendurchmesser und K eine Konstante, welche grN3er oder gleich 50 ist.
