PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a red light-emitting phosphor emitting light with high emission efficiency and high luminance, imparting good color rendering properties and suitable in a light-emitting device emitting white light using the red light-emitting phosphor, a green light-emitting phosphor and a blue light-emitting phosphor in combination and to provide the light-emitting device emitting white light with high luminance and good color rendering properties using the red light-emitting phosphor. SOLUTION : The red light-emitting phosphor is represented by compositional formula (1) A(1-x)Eu(1-x-y)LnyD2xM2O8 (wherein, A is at least one kind selected from the group consisting of Li, Na, K, Rb and Cs; Ln is at least one kind selected from rare earth elements containing Y except Eu; D is at least one kind selected from the group consisting of Mg, Ca, Sr and Ba; M is at least one kind selected from Mo and W; x is a positive number satisfying 0
