PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a high-repulsion golf ball that gives good fly performance. SOLUTION : With a multi-piece solid golf ball provided with a solid core and at least a single layer of middle layer, the multi-piece solid golf ball features that the above core contains a rubber base material containing polybutadiene synthesized using a rare-earth catalyst, an unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or its metallic salt, an organosulfur compound and inorganic filler, and is formed of a vulcanization molding formed by vulcanizing a rubber composition using a little amount of organic peroxide; the intermediate layer is mainly formed of a thermoplastic resin and its durometer D hardness is 30 to 70; the cover is mainly formed of a thermoplastic polyurethane and its durometer D hardness is 40 to 60, which is lower than the durometer D hardness of the outermost layer contacting with the cover of the intermediate layer.
