PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method of easily manufacturing a rare earth bonded magnet which has less chances of having voids on the front surface or inside and which has a superior anti-corrosion property and has high magnetic properties. SOLUTION : Rare earth magnet powder and a treatment liquid containing fine grains having an average grain diameter of 0.01 μm-0.5 μm and an organic dispersion medium are mixed, and then the rare earth magnet powder which has the treatment liquid attached on the surface is dried to obtain rare earth magnet powder having an adhered layer on a front surface with the fine grains as main constituent. This rare earth magnet powder and a resin binder are kneaded together, and the obtained kneaded material is formed into a prescribed shape by a process which includes at least compression molding.
