SOLUTION : The exhaust purifying catalyst contains at least one kind of an element M selected from the group consisting of tellurium (Te), ruthenium (Ru), rhodium (Rh), palladium (Pd), osmium (Os) and iridium (Ir) and is characterized in that the value of the molar ratio X of Te to the element M is 0.2
