PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a crushing and separation apparatus which more finely crushes earth and stone lumps much in mud or clay content and extruding the earth and stones adhered to the peripheral wall of a drum or the respective parts in a scraping bucket or the like, and a treatment method of the raw material separated by it. SOLUTION : A proper number of raw material scraping buckets are formed to the inside of the rotary drum, which has a raw material charging opening part and a discharge opening part, along the peripheral direction of the rotary drum to constitute one row. The buckets are provided over several rows and a proper number of raw material crushing chains are attached to the scraping buckets so as to be fixed on one end sides of them but made free on the other end sides of them.
