A magnetic therapeutic device 1 comprises an elongated flexible magnet portion 10 formed from a mixture of a silicone rubber and a magnetic powder, and magnetically polarized, and a flexible sheath portion 20 formed from a silicone rubber to cover over an entire outer periphery of the magnet portion 10. The magnetic powder may be a powder of a rare earth magnet. The device 1 may also include a lock portion (22 fig1) and an engagement portion (26 fig 1) formed at opposite ends of the sheath portion 20 and formed from silicone rubber. A method of producing the device by the simultaneous extrusion of the magnet portion 10 and the sheath portion 20 is included.
