PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a manufacturing method of a thin film oxide superconducting wire material capable of sufficiently suppressing reduction of super conducting property by recovering the reduced superconducting property while cutting the thin film oxide superconducting wire material at high cut processing rate by using an infrared laser.SOLUTION : There is provided a manufacturing method of a thin film oxide superconducting wire material for manufacturing the thin film oxide superconducting wire material by forming a REBaCuO-based oxide superconducting layer, where RE : rare earth element, on a belt-like metal substrate via an intermediate layer and then cutting the same with a predetermined width in a longitudinal direction, the method having a process for thermally cutting the oxide superconducting layer with a predetermined width in the longitudinal direction by applying an infrared laser to cutting locations and a process for thermally heating the thermally cut thin film oxide superconducting wire material in an oxygen gas atmosphere.SELECTED DRAWING : None
