PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a multilayer ceramic capacitor capable of suppressing the deterioration of an insulation resistance with time variation in a high temperature load test and having a high insulation resistance after firing is performed thereon. SOLUTION : The system is composed of a first crystal group having crystal grain with calcium concentration of 0.2 atom% or less and a second crystal group with barium titanate as a principal component having crystal grain with calcium concentration of 0.4 atom% or higher, the concentration ratio of magnesium and a rare earth element contained in a surface section and a central section of the crystal grain 9a composing the first crystal group is bigger than that of a crystal grain 9b composing the second crystal group, and when it is assumed that an area of the grain 9a in the first crystal group is a and an area of the grain 9b in the second crystal group is b, the ratio of b/(a+b) is 0.5 to 0.8 on a polished surface after the surface of a dielectric porcelain is polished.
