Disclosed is a rare earth magnet having excellent Br and HcJ. Specifically disclosed is a rare earth magnet which is mainly composed of R [wherein R represents at least one element selected from rare earth elements including Y], B, Al, Cu, Zr, Co, O, C and Fe at the following content ratio : R : 25-34 mass%, B : 0.85-0.98 mass%, Al : 0.03-0.3 mass%, Cu : 0.01-0.15 mass%, Zr : 0.03-0.25 mass%, Co : 3 mass% or less (excluding 0 mass%), O : 0.2 mass% or less, and C : 0.03-0.15 mass%, with the remainder being Fe.
