PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a recycling method of a reverse osmosis membrane element capable of reducing generation of used reverse osmosis membrane elements. SOLUTION : A business place 10 performs a service water treatment process 1 using the reverse osmosis membrane elements of the same kinds, a process treating process 2, and a drain treatment process 3. Among the processes 1-3, the process requiring the highest separation accuracy is the process treating process 2, followed by the service water treatment process 1 and drain treatment process 3, with the required separation accuracy lowering in this order. The reverse osmosis membrane element is first used in the process treating process 2, then the element lowered in the separation accuracy by use is re-used in the service water treatment process 1, and the reverse osmosis membrane element further lowered in the separation accuracy is re-used in the drain treatment process 3, then discarded.
