Disclosed is a hydrogen sensor characterized by comprising a substrate (2), a composite sensing film (4) which is obtained by finely dispersing a hydrogen permeable metal (8) in a rare earth metal layer (6) formed on the substrate (2), and a protective film (10) which is obtained by dispersing a hydrogen permeable metal particle (13) in a ceramic material (15) formed on the composite sensing film (4).
