Composition for making expanded granules comprises, per 100 pts.wt., 60-90 pts.wt. propylene homopolymer (A) with melt-flow index (MFI) in molten state at 230 degrees C under 2.16kg = 0.1-20g10min.; and 40-10 pts.wt. statistical propylene copolymer (B) containing 3-20 mol.% ethylene and/or 4-6C alpha -olefin with MFI = 25-3000g10min.. Also claimed are method for obtaining the compound; use of the compound in producing expanded granules with density = 10-200kgm; and cellular articles made by moulding expanded granules.
