PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method and apparatus for recycling lithium, which is rare and expensive, contained in lithium ceramics of a nuclear fusion blanket lithium breeder material, and further to provide a lithium ceramic material molded of the recovered lithium. SOLUTION : A spent lithium ceramic material is chemically dissolved by a wet method, cleared of impurities, and then a ceramic constituent element is added to control the composition. Fine lithium ceramic balls are made by a sol gel method or a molten liquid droplet freezing method to obtain a lithium ceramic material to be used as the nuclear fusion blanket lithium breeder material.
