PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To prevent various troubles due to oxidation of the surface of a lead wire. SOLUTION : The cold-cathode fluorescent lamp 1 comprises a glass tube 2 in which at least rare gas is sealed in the inside space 5 sealed airtight and a phosphore layer is formed on the inner wall face 4, an electrode arranged in the inside space 5, and a lead wire 9 of which one end is jointed to the electrode 7 and the other end is extracted outside penetrating through the glass tube 2.
