PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for producing rare earth magnetic powder having excellent magnetic properties, and to provide a rare earth bond magnet.
SOLUTION : The elements of rare earth metals and transition metals are high frequency dissolved, and are slowly cooled after dissolution to produce an ingot. The ingot is grinded into alloy powder having an average particle diameter of 2 to 90 μm. A first microwave with an output of 2.5 kW and a frequency of 28 GHz is irradiated to the alloy powder for two to five minutes. Then, the alloy powder is made into an amorphous structure in a short time owing to the self-heat generation of the alloy powder, rapid heating and selective heating. Furthermore, heat treatment is provided to the alloy powder to control microcrystallinity, thereby improving magnetic properties.
