PURPOSE : An automatic cleaning type filter apparatus is provided to improve the collection efficiency of a metal filter by charging dust by applying high voltage to a discharge unit and the metal filter and collecting the charged dust in the metal filter by an electric field. CONSTITUTION : An automatic cleaning type filter apparatus is composed of a filtering unit having a metal filter(20) containing an earth unit(21) and installed at drive and driven rollers(10, 11) in a belt type; discharge units(50) installed in parallel to the metal filter of the filtering unit to charge the inflow air particles; a water sprayer(30) washing off foreign materials collected in the metal filter of the filtering unit; a drain port(60) discharging the foreign materials and water left after cleaning; and a high voltage applying device(70) electrically connected to the metal filter and the discharge units to apply high voltage. The discharge unit generates a corona discharge and an electric field is generated between the discharge unit and the metal filter in applying high voltage to the discharge unit and the metal filter. © KIPO 2008
