PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare-earth permanent magnet, having a coating hardly influencing an environment and human bodies by displaying high corrosion resistance, even in a thin film on a surface, and to provide its manufacturing method forming the film on the basis of high cost merit at high precision. SOLUTION : The rare-earth permanent magnet has anticorrosive coating making aromatic carboxylic acid, having an alkyl group in a benzene ring as a substituent and amino alcohol constituents on the surface. Its manufacturing method comprises a process for applying and drying the processing liquid, after a processing liquid containing aromatic carboxylic acid having the alkyl group as the substituent in the benzene ring and/or its salt and amino alcohol is prepared.
