PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a spheroidizing agent of graphite with which the graphite spheroidizing agent can be spheroidized to the graphite in good condition while restraining the formation of chunky graphite. SOLUTION : The graphite spherodizing agent is composed of silicon, magnesium, calcium and rare earth elements, in which the graphite spherodizing agent contains 0.6-3.0 mass% rare earth elements and 1.3-4.0 mass% calcium, respectively, relative to the total amount thereof, and percentage of lanthanum in the rare earth elements is 50 mass% or more.
