PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a sintered compact with high relative permittivity, a ceramic capacitor using the same, and their production method. SOLUTION : The sintered compact used for the dielectric layer 1 of a ceramic capacitor is produced by adding to a main component comprising barium titanate, the subcomponents including A-site elements comprising Ba and rare earth elements, and B-site elements comprising one or more selected from Ti, Zr, Sn and Hf, and then firing.
