It is intended to provide a process for producing a polyglyceryl ether derivative using a simple metal salt of a rare earth element as a catalyst in the production of the polyglyceryl ether derivative by reacting an alcohol with glycidol. By the method, a highly selective addition reaction of an alcohol with glycidol is achieved and the conversion rate of alcohol can be improved.
