PURPOSE : An apparatus and a method for producing fuel while treating waste are provided to minimize waste, produce a high efficient fuel at low cost, and greatly increase utilization of the gas fuel as an alternative fuel by producing a gas fuel using various waste. CONSTITUTION : An apparatus for producing fuel while treating waste comprises : a crusher(10) for crushing collected waste; a mixer(20) for mixing 60 to 85 wt.%% of the crushed waste with 10 to 30 wt.%% of earth and 5 to 20 wt.%% of cement; a molding machine(30) for molding the mixture mixed through the mixer into three-dimensional structures having a plurality of vent holes in horizontal and vertical directions; a treating tank(40) comprising a gas collector installed on an upper part of a body which has a predetermined volume and is formed in a box shape, and a leachate discharge pipe connected to a lower part of the body, wherein the treating tank generates degradation of waste in a state that the respective three-dimensional structures are stacked in the body; a gas storage tank(50) for storing gas collected through the gas collector installed on the treating tank; and a leachate retreating tank(60) for retreating the leachate by flowing in leachate discharged through the leachate discharge pipe connected to the treating tank. © KIPO 2007
