PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an adsorbing material having water permeability and strength capable of keeping the water permeability, and exhibiting strong adsorbing force to various elements. SOLUTION : The adsorbing material containing a compound of a rare earth element is obtained by molding a composition containing the compound of the rare earth element, diatomite and a fibrous material.
