A metallo-fullerenols of general formula M@C2m(OH)x and a tumor- inhibiting composition comprising the metallo-fullerenols are new, wherein M in general formula M@C2m(OH)x is selected from the rare-earth matal of La or Gd, m=41or 30 and 10≤x<50. The metallo-fullerenols of general formula M@C2m(OH)x also is used to prepare the medicine for inhibiting the growth of tumour.
