METHOD FOR REMOVING LUBRICANT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING RARE-EARTH SINTERED MAGNET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for efficiently removing a lubricant from a compact and inhibiting the compact from being deformed and from causing a crack after the compact has been sintered, and to provide a method for producing a rare-earth sintered magnet. SOLUTION : The method for removing a lubricant comprises the steps of : pressing a composition which includes the lubricant containing an organic substance as a component and an alloy powder having a predetermined composition, in a magnetic field to form the compact; and removing the lubricant by heating the compact while keeping or decreasing a quantity of hydrogen in the compact, in an atmospheric gas containing hydrogen (H2). The above alloy powder can be obtained by making the raw alloy material occlude hydrogen. The alloy powder can be obtained by pulverizing (hydrogen pulverization) the raw alloy material through hydrogen occlusion. COPYRIGHT : (C)2007, JPO&INPIT
