PURPOSE : An anion emitting glass containing a great amount of potassium in terms of potassium oxide is provided to generate anions and show transparency as original feature of the glass, thereby being applied to various articles such as glass sheet, glass molded articles, tableware and/or beads by adding potassium oxide in constant amount thereof but not comprising anion emitting minerals based on radioactive decay series elements.CONSTITUTION : The glass contains more than 10wt.%% of potassium as calculated with content of potassium oxide. The glass is alkali and alkali-earth silicate glass of R2O-RO-SiO2 wherein R2O is Na or K based oxide and RO is Mg, Ca, Ba, Sr and Pb based oxide. The R2O-RO-SiO2 glass is particularly R2O-CaO-SiO2 glass, R2O-BaO-SiO2 glass, R2O-BaO/SrO-SiO2 glass, R2O-BaO/SrO/PbO-SiO2 glass. Alternatively, the glass is R2O-Al2O3-SiO2 glass or R2O-B2O3/Al2O3-SiO2 glass called alkali alumino-borosilicate glass.? KIPO 2007
