PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for producing a halogenated compound photostimulable phosphor having uniformed particle size distribution, particularly producing the photostimulable phosphor of oxygen-introduced, rare earth-activated alkaline earth metal fluoro-halide, and provide high sensitivity and high image quality radiographic image transformation plate. SOLUTION : The method for production of the halogenated compound photostimulable phosphor comprises the step where at least two or more kinds of inorganic solutions are added to a halogenated compound ionic solution and the precursor crystals of the halogenated compound photostimulable phosphor is precipitated from the mixed inorganic solution and the step where the solvent is removed from the precursor crystals to obtain the precursor crystals. The precursor crystals are calcined in a calcination furnace satisfying specific requirement to produce the halogenated compound photostimulable phosphor. COPYRIGHT : (C)2007, JPO&INPIT
