A multifunctional additive to maximize the yield of light olefins and LPG, with tolerance contaminant metals. The maximization of the referenced properties is accomplished by the use of a zeolite treated with a phosphorus source, calcined and impregnated with a rare earth metal salt. The process for the preparation of the catalyst referenced includes the following steps : preparation of a precursor containing a zeolite which is selective olefins with a phosphorus source; placing a source of phosphorus in the precursor by calcining; deposition of rare earth salts on the surface of the additive to maximize the yield of light olefins and LPG which is formed; and drying the multifunctional additive formed.
