PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a silicon nitride based conductive ceramics which has small specific resistance and a large deflecting strength, its manufacturing method, and a ceramic heater and a ceramic glow plug using this. SOLUTION : The manufacturing method of the silicon nitride based conductive ceramics is provided with a calcination process in which an uncalcined exothermic resistor which contains silicon nitride, conductive ceramic component, and RE2Si2O7 (provided, "RE" is rare-earth element) and which becomes an exothermic resistor by calcination is calcined in a state that it is embedded into uncalcined insulating substrate which becomes an insulating substrate by calcination. The glow plug having the above ceramics is provided with the main body fitting 21, a stationary pipe 22 fitted into its one end side, and a ceramic heater 1 which is fitted into the stationary pipe and its tip part is arranged to protrude out from the end face of the stationary pipe.
