PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a bond magnet exhibiting excellent rust prevention performance as compared with a conventional one, and to provide its production process. SOLUTION : The process for producing a bond magnet in which a protective layer is formed on the surface of a bond magnet element containing a rare earth element comprises a step for forming a protective layer containing phosphor on the surface of a bond magnet element by touching the bond magnet element to solution containing a phosphate and acid ions.
