PURPOSE : A device for recovering valuable metal and a method thereof are provided to recycle valuable metal completely without loss by recovering valuable metal from high density washing water and low density washing water with electrolysis and exchanging ion, and to operate the device efficiently by using program according to situation with compact structure. CONSTITUTION : A valuable metal recovery device includes a metal recovery unit having a water collecting tank(2), a filter(3) connected to the water collecting tank, a resin tower(4) connected to the filter and another resin tower connected to the resin tower, and a water tank(1) connected to the water collecting tank of the metal recovery unit. The water collecting tank is connected to a storage tank(12) storing additives for increasing the recovery rate of metal, and the additive is supplied by a quantitative supply pump(11). Two or eight resin towers are successively connected to each other, and coupled to the filter. © KIPO 2006
