PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method of reducing a treatment cost and removing air pollution substances and carbon dioxide in combustion waste gas while suppressing the amount of water.
SOLUTION : For the combustion waste gas, (A) a first process of using a leakage shelf tower excellent in a gas/liquid contact performance, bringing the air pollution substances such as SOx, NOx and soot dust in the combustion waste gas into gas/liquid contact with the alkali carbonate metal salt aqueous solution of a high concentration and removing them, and (B) a second process of bringing carbon dioxide in the combustion waste gas into gas/liquid contact with the alkali metal hydroxide aqueous solution of a high concentration and removing it, are connected. Further, (C) the alkali metal carbonate aqueous solution generated from the second process of performing decarbonation as a by-product is mixed with alkali hydroxide earth metal slurry and causticizing reaction is performed, and (D) the process liquid regenerating process of alkali metal hydroxide aqueous solution for recovering it as the alkali metal hydroxide aqueous solution is connected.
