Disclosed is an electron beam excited light-emitting device which enables to suppress decrease of luminous intensity. Specifically disclosed is an electron beam excited light-emitting device containing a phosphor which is obtained by adding rare earth ions Ln (Ln represents one or more substances selected from the group consisting of Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Tb, Ho, Dy, Er and Tm) as an activator to a compound represented by the following formula : M1O·M22O3 (wherein M1 represents one or more substances selected from the group consisting of Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba and Zn, and M2 represents one or more substances selected from the group consisting of Sc, Y, B, Al, Ga and In).
