PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a surface multipolar anisotropic ring-shaped magnet which has high circularity and is inexpensive. SOLUTION : The surface multipolar anisotropic ring magnet consists of an R-T-B system sintered body (R is at least one kind of rare earth elements comprising Y, T is Fe, or Fe and Co) and satisfies formula I : (D2-D1)/2 πD2/2P), when a inner diameter is D1, an outer diameter is D2, and the number of magnetic poles is P (P≥6). Preferably, the surface multipolar anisotropic ring magnet of the present invention, satisfies formula II : (D2-D1) / 2≤0.9 (πD2/2P), when a inner diameter is D1, an outer diameter is D2, and the number of magnetic poles is P (P≥6), and preferably, the number P of the magnetic poles is P>8.
