PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a manufacturing method of a solid electrolyte membrane having long-term stability, high ionic conductivity, and high strength. SOLUTION : This method is used for manufacturing a solid electrolyte membrane by preparing an alumina-added rare-earth stabilized zirconia solid solution by mixing rare-earth oxide particles each having a specific surface area of 20-30 m2/g, zirconia (ZrO2) and 0.1-2.0 pts. by mass of alumina (Al2O3) in the total 100 pts. by mass of the rare-earth oxide particles and ZrO2, and thereafter heat-treating them, and by forming the solid solution into a membrane.
