An iron base rare earth nano-composite magnet which is represented by the empirical formula : T100-x-y-z-nQxRyTizMn[wherein T represents Fe or a transition metal element obtained by substituting a part of Fe with one or more elements selected from the group consisting of Co and Ni, Q represents at least one element selected from the group consisting of B and C, R represents one or more rare earth elements being substantially free of La and Ce, M represents one or more metal elements selected from the group consisting of Al, Si, V, Cr, Mn, Cu, Zn, Ga, Zr, Nb, Mo, Ag, Hf, Ta, W, Pt, Au and Pb], wherein the composition ratios, x, y, z and n satisfy 5 ≤ x ≤ 10 atomic %, 7 ≤ y ≤ 10 atomic %, 0.1 ≤ z ≤ 5 atomic %, 0≤ n ≤ 10 atomic %, respectively, which contains a R2Fe14B type compound phase and an α-Fe phase forming a nano-composite magnet structure being magnetically bound, wherein the R2Fe14B type compound phase has an average crystal grain diameter of 30 to 300 nm and the α-Fe phase has an average crystal grain diameter of 1 to 20 nm, and which has magnetic characteristics of a coercive force of 400 kA/m or more and a remanent magnetic flux density of 0.9 T or more.
