PURPOSE : A process for producing high purity photo-active ion containing inorganic/organic nano hybrid composite material is provided to homogeneously and coordinately disperse photo-active ions in inorganic oxide nano particles and to minimize coagulation between photo-active ions by preparing ZnO nano particle containing photo-active ions in alkyl silane medium. CONSTITUTION : The process comprises the steps of : preparing acetate composite bonded with zinc ions and photo-active ions by reflux-reacting zinc acetate and rare earth acetate in absolute ethanol; preparing a medium by adding zirconium or titanium alkoxide to hydrolyzed alkylsilane compound; admixing the acetate composite and the medium; generating zinc oxide nano particles which contain photo-active ions in the prepared medium by adding lithium hydroxide(LiOH.H2O) alkaline material to the admixture; removing the solvent after filtering the composite; and filtering and separating precipitate insoluble in non-polar solvent by dissolving the composite in the non-polar solvent. © KIPO 2006
