PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a mechanoluminescence material enabling the selection from a wide range and exhibiting high light-emission intensity.
SOLUTION : The mechanoluminescence material is obtained by adding at least one kind of a luminescence center emitting the light when an electron excited by a mechanical energy returns to a ground state, and selected from a rare earth metal and a transition metal to a base material comprising at least one kind of an oxide selected from the group consisting of complex oxides of barium having a composition represented by the general formulas : xBaO-yAl2O3-zSiO2 (at least a part of Ba may be substituted with at least one kind of Na, K and Mg; and x, y and z are each a number of ≥1), xBaO-yAl2O3 (at least a part of Ba may be substituted with at least one kind of Na, Mg, Zn, Be and Mn; and x and y are the same as the above) or xBaO-ySiO2 (at least a part of Ba may be substituted with at least one kind of Mg, Fe, Mn, Zn and Be; and x and y are the same as the above).
