The present invention relates to a method for forming an extract from a rear earth mineral leaching residue and stripping thorium, comprising : (a) a step of forming a leaching solution by adding an acid solution and a reductant to a leaching residue; (b) a step of solvent extracting thorium by adding an organic phase including an extracting reagent to the leaching solution; and (c) a step of stripping the thorium by adding hydrochloric acid and a salt to the organic phase from which the thorium is extracted.
