PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a plasma display panel capable of stabilizing break-down voltage and improving image quality. SOLUTION : Discharge gas sealed in a discharge space 13 contains at least one or more gas among helium, neon, argon, krypton, and xenon, and also, has oxygen of a partial voltage added. A partial pressure of oxygen in the discharge gas is 1% or less, preferably, from 0.1% to 1%. Rare gas components in the discharge gas are made of helium, neon, and xenon desirably.
