PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an animal fiber product making it possible that an enough amount of fine powder of natural radioactive rare element minerals are adhered to the fiber product and the fine powder is difficult to be removed when is washed, and to provide a method for treating surfaces of an animal fiber material. SOLUTION : This animal fiber product is obtained by adhering fine powder 4 of the natural radioactive rare element minerals to scaly surfaces of wool fiber 2 of a wool fiber top 1 together with an anti-shrink treatment agent as a surface treatment agent 5. The fine powder 4 is preferably adhered to inner areas of scales 3 of the scaly surfaces, and more preferably adhered to the inner areas in such a state that the scales 3 are more opened than the scales naturally are.
