Disclosed is a near-infrared absorbing material which is applicable to a near-infrared absorbing layer of a laminated glass and capable of imparting more excellent near-infrared blocking characteristics than the conventional ones. Specifically disclosed is a laminated glass (laminated body) (10) comprising a pair of light-transmitting substrates (1) and an intermediate film (near-infrared absorbing layer) (2) interposed between the light-transmitting substrates (1). This intermediate film (2) is composed of a near-infrared absorbing material which contains a polyvinyl acetal, copper ions and rare earth metal ions.
