PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To produce a rare earth sintered magnet using granules having excellent fluidity and capable of attaining the improvement in the dimensional precision of a compact and the improvement of productivity. SOLUTION : This method for producing the rare earth sintered magnet is provided with : a stage where granules obtained by binding primary alloy grains having a prescribed composition with water are charged to a die cavity; a stage where a magnetic field is applied to the granules, and compacting is performed thereto, so as to obtain a compact; and a stage where the compact is sintered.
