PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a negative ion generation agent capable of being directly used in an arbitrary place when necessary and always generating negative ions without applying external force, using only one kind of material for generating negative ions. SOLUTION : The negative ion generation agent 10 is formed by blending fine powder 11 of minerals including rare earth elements and a binder 12 for binding the fine powder 11. The negative ion generation agent 10 can be directly applied to an applied region and can always generate negative ions without the force applied from outside. The binder 12 is prepared by blending rice starch 13 as a solvent with water 14.
