PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a solid electrolyte fuel cell having high durability to heat cycles and sufficient power generation function and to provide the manufacturing method of the solid electrolyte fuel cell. SOLUTION : The solid electrolyte fuel cell is equipped with a fuel electrode substrate 1 (comprising a mixture of nickel oxide, stabilized zirconia, or the like), a solid electrolyte layer 2 (comprising stabilized zirconia or the like) formed on one side of the solid electrolyte layer 2, reaction preventing layer 31, 32 (comprising CeO2 system oxide or the like formed by replacing part of Ce of the CeO2 with a rare earth element) formed on one side of the solid electrolyte layer 2, and an air electrode layer 4 (comprising Ln1-xMxCoO3 system oxide or the like) formed on one side of the reaction preventing layer 32, and the reaction preventing layer 32 has a through hole 331 (a gap 33) opened on the air electrode 4 side, the air electrode layer 4 has a protrusion 41 protruding to the side of the reaction preventing layer 32 and the gap 33 and a protrusion 41 are fit each other.
